Rhinitis
Description: An inflammation of the inside of the nose that usually causes cold-like symptoms such as a blocked and runny nose. It can be caused by allergens, or may be non-allergic.
Tips
Dust mite controller
This might work if you think your rhinitis is caused by an allergy to dust mites. You can buy these plug-ins from Amazon. They work by interrupting the breeding of the dust mites, so you should have fewer dust mites in the house. It seems to have made some improvement for our family.
You can also get a portable version with a probe to stick up your nose. It may not be the best fashion accessory, but if you are desperate, try searching Kinetik Wellbeing Allergy Reliever on Amazon.
Pineapple juice
Pineapple juice is anti-inflammatory, and is claimed to help reduce mucus. There don’t seem to be any studies to back this up, but why not give it a try and see if it helps you?
Saltpipe
These are inhaler type devices with tiny salt particles, which are supposed to help reduce allergy and asthma symptoms. My husband tried one, and it didn’t do much for him, but it might work for you. They are available from Holland & Barrett in the UK.
