Verruca

Description: Small lumps on the feet with a tiny black lump in the centre. They are caused by a virus, and spread by touching an infected surface, especially if wet.

Tips

Bazooka cream

This worked really well, but took about three months (although there were a LOT of verrucas to clear up).  It’s pretty gross to use too.  You just have to be persistent with it.  Use it every day until they’ve all gone.

Vinegar

You can try soaking a cotton wool ball with apple cider vinegar, then sticking it over the verruca with a plaster and leave it over night.  Repeat for about a week or two and the verruca should come away.  Take care not to irritate the surrounding skin with the apple cider vinegar.

Oregano oil

As with the apple cider vinegar above, soak a cotton wool ball with oregano oil, then stick it over the verruca with a plaster and leave it over night.  Repeat for about a week or two and the verruca should come away.

Duct tape

The duct tape might take a little longer, but is less messy than vinegar or oil.  Cut a piece of duct tape to fit exactly over the verruca.  After 6 days take the tape off, and then soak the verruca in warm water.  Dry it off, then use an emery board to file away any dead white skin.  Then leave it open to the air for 12 hours (for example, overnight).  Keep on repeating until the verucca is completely gone.
