Ingrowing hair

Description: A spot caused by an in-growing hair, which can turn into a painful pus-filled sore.

Tips

Tea tree oil 

Dab a spot of tea tree oil onto the spot.  If it is somewhere sensitive, it can feel really uncomfortable for up to an hour afterwards, but it does work.

Laser hair removal

If you keep on getting ingrowing hairs, try laser hair removal. Try the Philips Lumea Hair Removal System if you have pale skin and dark hair.  It doesn’t completely get rid of your hair, but much less hair grows back, the hair that does grow back is much finer and ingrowing hairs improve almost immediately.  It is quite expensive, but definitely worth it and very easy to use at home.  The Precision version is suitable for the face too, but even more expensive.
